Mindset/Pivoting During Covid-19

When we are faced with challenges such as Covid-19 what do we do and how do we handle the sudden challenge's we Face do we climb into a hole, or do we take action? We have done both and some of us have thrived, and some of us are just shaking our heads still in disbelief. This has not been easy for sure even for the strong, but hopefully it is not too late to take action in ALL parts of your life if you have been knocked off your feet. It is a mental decision that you need to take action.

What's my story... The news of the pandemic and the closures in Las Vegas, NV hit me in the face and knocked me off my feet and unto my ass like a tidal wave and just like at the beach with the waves crashing in I struggled to get to my feet and grounded myself so I could stand my ground. The last 5 months, actually 7 months have been very challenging starting with January with my marriage coming to an ABRUPT end, then moving, and then COVID.

I have had to make business decisions, and, personal decisions that were not always the easiest to make. I have been a student of self development since 17 years old, probably earlier but at 17 I was coming into adulthood and I have read books on relationships, business, faith, goal setting but I had honestly gotten away from this discipline because I thought I was too busy, it took away from my work, family but how crazy this thinking was. This was stinkin thinking and it was not until my separation I needed to dive deep and emerge ready to work on myself and surrender ALL to god. Once I surrender everything to the father above great things happened.

On the personal level A wonderful person came into my life that has uplifted me, showed me praise and made me feel beautiful. This shift, may not seem a lot, but coming out of toxic relationships it is like taking a deep breath and feeling the tightness and then with the release the ability to breath and feel and see things in a different light. Self confidence and self love is so important. I know you have heard that you have to love yourself before you can love others, where their is truth in that sometimes it takes somebody to start that healing and I am so grateful for that help. I have always been a confident woman when it came to business, but when I Looked in the mirror I did not always like the reflection looking back at me. I was too fat, I was not pretty, I was short, I was a hairy French lady LOL.

On a business level I was knocked down for a little bit but have been able to pivot, transform, create, and forge ahead in my business. I have great customers and friends and great customers bring AWESOME referrals. I am very grateful and blessed. I should come out of Covid not only a stronger more whole person but with a thriving business.

The secret to succeeding for me comes back to investing in myself when everything seems bleak and dark and looking for the shining light in everything. To be the glass half full person. This does not come without emotional and mental transformation.
